Arterial & Venous Duplex
More commonly known as a vascular ultrasound. This test uses sound waves to evaluate the body’s circulatory system and helps to identify blockages in the arteries and veins as well as detect blood clots.
Carotid Duplex Exam
This test shows how well blood is flowing through the carotid arteries in the neck. These arteries supply blood directly to the brain are therefore crucial.
Aortic Aneurysm Screening
This test uses ultrasound to examine the aortic wall in the abdomen in order to monitor its structural integrity, which can be an indicative pre-cursor to an aneurysm. This screening should be completed by all people 55 and older.
Arterial Duplex Only
The Arterial Duplex exam is a painless exam of the arteries in the body with an ultrasound machine. This process is facilitated by an ultrasound technician and is a relatively quick diagnostic test.
Venous Duplex Only
In simple terms this is an ultrasound screening of your veins for diagnostic purposes. This diagnostic can prove quite important for diagnosing venous insufficiency and DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis).
